Amarjit Ahluwalia


Amarjit is a Solicitor with over 20 years post qualification experience.
Amarjit specialises in public law, particularly as it relates to nationality, immigration and EEA law, policy and practice.
Amarjit volunteers at our Saturday advice and casework surgery. She is also a PRCBC trustee.

Sue Shutter
Sue is an OISC registered caseworker, former caseworker and main author of the first three editions of the JCWI Immigration & Nationality Law Handbook. Sue was an assistant of Fiona Mactaggart when she was MP for Slough. Sue is also chair of the Board of Trustees for Slough Immigration Aid Unit (SIAU).

Sue has been volunteering at Saturday advice and casework surgery for the past four years.  She is PRCBC’s treasurer and part of PRCBC’s Board of trustees.

Steve Valdez-Symonds 


Steve is a qualified lawyer. He is well-known for all that legal knowledge he shared during his seven years as a legal officer for ILPA.  In the last four years, he has been working as a Refugee and Migrant Programme Director for Amnesty International UK. Steve supports PRCBC with legal research and complex drafting of legal documents at our Saturday monthly slots.
 Beatriz McCarron

Beatriz studied a BA(Hons) in Legal Studies at the University of Westminster and worked as Adviser/Caseworker for Haringey CAB. She supports PRCBC with reception and other administrative work at our Saturday monthly casework surgery.


Dirghayu Patel

Dirghayu works as an Assistant Solicitor
for GT Stewart Solicitors & Advocates. He has extensive legal experience in representing clients in housing public law matters. He will start volunteering for PRCBC from December 2018.
Solange Valdez-SymondsSolange Valdez


Solange  is a Level 3 advanced accredited Immigration supervising solicitor. She is also PRCBC’s co-founder and Director. Solange supervises and manages all advice and casework.

Siobhan is a trainee solicitor at the Anti-Trafficking and Slavery Exploitation Unit (ATLEU). She is also mentoring coordinator for  the Young Legal Aid Lawyers (YLAL). Siobhan is largely involved in assisting PRCBC volunteer caseworkers with complex and ad hoc legal admin tasks and managing the case management database. She has been volunteering with PRCBC  for over 3 years.
